Submission to the MDBA’s discussion paper for the 2026 Basin Plan review

The Basin Plan is Australia’s largest river restoration initiative, developed to address the overallocation of water resources for consumptive uses across the Murray–Darling Basin. While an important step forward, the Plan was never sufficient to resolve the full scale of the Basin’s underlying ecological and governance challenges.
