Wentworth Group’s Response to the Clean Energy Regulator’s Statements in Senate Estimates Regarding our Submission to the Independent Review of Australian Carbon Credit Units

In Senate Estimates on 28 November, the Clean Energy Regulator described the Wentworth Group’s submission to the Chubb review of Australian Carbon Credit Units as “factually incorrect”.

As an independent group of scientists, our work reflects best available science and knowledge of carbon flows in dynamic landscapes. We will always review our work in light of new evidence.

Accordingly, we considered the matters raised by the Clean Energy Regulator, however we did not find any reason to modify our submission.

We continue to stand by our submission and it remains unchanged since we originally put it forward to the Chubb inquiry.

We believe that it is the role of the independent review process to draw conclusions based on the evidence provided.
